About
Hager was founded by two brothers, Herman and Oswald Hager, father and uncle of the current CEO Daniel Hager. They wanted to be able to contribute to the electrical market with products which were safe and clean. In short, they turned their dream into a reality. Subsequently, through acquisitions the company has gone from strength to strength.
In 1993 their UK factory was established. Consequently their operation grew into the large scale manufacturing warehouse that it is today. The group currently has 22 manufacturing sites across 10 countries. This in turn allows for a large scale support network.
Always a pioneer of the industry. For instance the company started producing the first Residual-current circuit breaker (RCCB) in 1982. As a result, they continue to prioritise the advancement of their technology. Accordingly, the company is dedicating 6% of sales revenue to research and development. The focus of this having shifted to electromobility, smart homes and energy efficiency in recent years.
Their range of products can be categorised into energy distribution, cable management systems, switch ranges and security systems amongst others. Therefore showing their breadth as a company to provide for all needs.
