Wiska was founded in Hamburg in 1919. They are known worldwide for their cabling accessories including junction boxes and cable glands.
The company has its own innovation and development department in order to develop new products. This allows them to retain control from inception to production.
Wiska use a thorough testing process to ensure the highest quality. This starts with the material selection process right through to the comprehensive testing procedure in their own state of the art laboratory.
The idea for the name Wiska stemmed from a conversation in 1933. It is an abbreviation of “Wasserdichte isolierstoffgekapselte Kabelarmaturen” which stands for waterproof cable fittings encapsulated in insulating material.
They are a third generation family operated business. At the helm of this are sibling duo Ronald and Tanja Hoppmann. In addition, the company currently has 260 employees across the globe.
